JIVANA Ayurvedic Yoga School was built off the intention of offering quality Ayurveda training in Canada. Since the global pandemic, there has been a societal shift in the western world in terms of how we frame concepts like health and wellness in our minds. People are looking towards a holistic approach, prioritizing their mental health, and learning how to slow down. It is our belief that Ayurveda is not only needed, but also fills a strong desire for a means to leading a more fulfilled life.
Our yoga teacher training is built off the foundation of Hatha yoga with an emphasis on Patanjali’s 8 limbs. Students learn anatomy and physiology through the lens of Ayurveda, as well as how to support their clients individual and unique needs at different stages of life. Through in-depth study of philosophy and group discussion, our students gain confidence in their ability to craft yoga sequences intelligently and with specific intention. Graduates develop a deeper understanding and connection to the yoga practices than in their foundational 200hr yoga teacher training.

The student-teacher relationship plays a key role in learning. That is why we believe in restricting class sizes. Smaller class sizes allows for deeper connections and more regular communication between students and the Lead Trainer.
All prospective students who are interested in registering are encouraged to fill out an application form. Students who the school’s director feels are a good fit for the program will be registered on a first come, first served basis. In the event of an already full class, additional successful applicants will be added to a waiting list and alerted to any future openings in the program as they become available.

Please reach us at andie@jivana.ca if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Our programs are offered online. Facilitating our programs through the virtual space allows you to take your learning with you wherever you go. Enjoy a more flexible schedule by working through the weekly lessons when it’s convenient for you between the live online classes.
The 300hr program is divided into modules and offered intermittently rather than successively to make it easier to work around your daily life and other commitments.
It is strongly recommended that students hold a 200hr YTT certification, however exceptions may be granted on a case-by-case basis if the student has sufficient foundation in yoga.
There is an initial cost of $500 at registration, which is later applied to cover the cost of the practicum. Total cost of the program is $5,921 (+ applicable taxes), as each module varies in cost based on number of hours.
We believe in making our training accessible for everyone. That is why we offer a variety of payment plans for each module. Scholarships and early-bird discounts are also available, but limited.
